Volochkova’s ex-elect Duran was sent to the Nizhny Novgorod pre-trial detention center
Entrepreneur Dmitry Duran, the former fiancé of ballerina Anastasia Volochkova, was found in a Nizhny Novgorod pre-trial detention center. This was reported by NewsNN with reference to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
The ex-fellow of the Russian star is facing criminal charges of fraud.
The publication reported that in the Nizhny Novgorod region Duran managed a consumer credit cooperative and, presumably, under the guise of concluding agreements with citizens for the transfer of personal savings, he stole funds.
According to Nizhny Novgorod investors, he allegedly offered them to invest in the company at a favorable interest rate. After this, they claim, he allegedly stopped communicating and stopped making payments.
The victims filed a statement with the police, and in April 2022, Duran was put on the federal wanted list. Duran’s arrest became known at the end of September; he faces up to 10 years in prison.
