The weather forecaster warned Muscovites about sleet and frost over the weekend
This weekend, wet snow, stormy winds and abnormally low atmospheric pressure are expected in Moscow and the Moscow region, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the METEO forecast center, told NEWS.ru. According to him, the air temperature will be five degrees Celsius.
Over the weekend, Muscovites can expect wet snow and strong gusty winds. The temperature will drop to five degrees Celsius. On Saturday the pressure will drop by 20.5 mm p/s and rise again on Monday, October 9. This is a weather fever, since with such indicators the air temperature does not feel more than one degree Celsius. Drivers should be very careful on the roads this weekend; rain will drizzle almost all the time, giving way to snow,” Shuvalov said.
The forecaster noted that in some areas by the end of the week, snow may form due to colder weather.
Flooding was predicted for two regions of Russia
Earlier, the head of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said that September in 2023 in Moscow broke seven records at once: for the height of atmospheric pressure, the minimum cloud cover, illumination, the height of the level of ultraviolet radiation and the total energy of solar rays. At the same time, the first month of autumn turned out to be the warmest and driest in the entire history of meteorological observations.
