In September, 300 thousand people visited the Southern and Northern river stations. They organized 120 free events for children and adults. This was announced on Thursday, October 5, by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Head of the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maxim Liksutov.
“People come here to relax, take a walk, have an interesting time, or go on a trip along the river. We will continue to provide comfort and organize more interesting events for station visitors,” he said.
According to Liksutov, from the Northern and Southern river stations you can go on a cruise and visit 30 cities in Russia, reports Telegram-channel “Moscow Department of Transport”.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited the Northern River Station in the capital on June 20. Together they took part in the launch ceremony of the first electric water buses.
According to Sobyanin, last summer the berths of the Northern and Southern river stations accepted and sent on a trip more than a thousand ships. More than 175 thousand passengers set sail on them.
