Taxi passengers beat and robbed the driver in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, passengers robbed and beat a taxi driver, the Izvestia newspaper reports.

According to the publication, the incident occurred on October 19. The taxi driver asked the man and woman to pay for the trip, but they attacked him and struck him several times on the head, after which they sprayed a gas canister in his face.

The attackers took two phones from the car, worth about 7.5 thousand rubles each. One of the suspects was detained. The man has already been convicted. The search for the accomplice continues.

Last Thursday, gas equipment in a taxi car exploded in the south of Moscow. There were no injuries, the driver was examined by an ambulance team, Radiotochka NSN reports.
