Spiegel: Michel and von der Leyen had a spat in absentia over Ukraine
The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the President of the EC, Ursula von der Leyen, staged an absentee skirmish over Ukraine and the struggle for power in the EU.

It is noted that in an interview with the newspaper, Michel criticized von der Leyen’s foreign policy initiatives.
“The European Commission reacted angrily and irritated by statements about the imminent accession of Ukraine,” the article says.
According to the newspaper, in the past there was already a “rather strange” struggle for power between the head of the European Council and the chairman of the EC.
“The conflict has become evident again and again, especially in foreign policy,” the publication said.
Earlier, Chinese journalist Chen Weihua said that Ursula von der Leyen leading the EU to disaster.
Also von der Leyen stated about plans to begin preparations for EU enlargement.
