Sobyanin allowed owners of summer verandas not to dismantle structures for the winter

Owners of the capital’s summer terraces and cafes, as last year, may not dismantle the installed structures at the end of the season. The corresponding decree was signed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Friday, October 20.

An important condition is the convenience of the structures – they should not interfere with the movement of pedestrians or the operation of cleaning equipment. The location for summer cafes should be the external surfaces of buildings, courtyards of non-residential buildings, city parks or privately owned land plots.

It is noted that it is not permitted to use verandas for their intended purpose in winter. At the same time, owners need to ensure the safety of structures and promptly clear them of snow and ice.

Thanks to this support measure, the financial burden on catering establishments is reduced. It is one of the popular forms of assistance to this sector of the economy.
