Sobyanin: 2.5 million people visited the renovated Moscow river stations
Since the beginning of 2023, 2.5 million people have visited the Northern and Southern River Stations. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced this on Saturday, October 21.
From these capital harbors you can go on a cruise trip to 30 major cities and tourist centers of Russia. Visitors can spend their free time in interesting ways on the territory of the stations – 500 events have already taken place there. For example, at the Northern River Station, which was restored three years ago, major city events take place – Moscow Transport Day, the Moscow Autumn retro rally, Motoday and others.
“The South River Station, which opened at the end of April, now regularly hosts sports training, musician performances, art master classes, film screenings and quizzes,” noted Sergei Sobyanin in Telegram-channel.
About 300 thousand people visited the South and North River Stations in September, where 120 free events were organized for children and adults.
According to Sergei Sobyanin, last summer the berths of the Northern and Southern River Stations accepted and sent on a trip more than a thousand ships. More than 175 thousand passengers set sail on them.
