Russian Railways installed heaters on Moscow railway platforms
The Russian Railways company announced the installation of infrared heaters on several railway platforms in Moscow. About it reports RIA News”.
It is clarified that the company is only testing the technology, but if successful, such an innovation could appear on railway platforms throughout Russia. So far, heaters have been installed only at the MCD-3 Zelenograd-Kryukovo station.
The company also clarified that the heaters are installed above the benches. They also have built-in motion sensors – the heaters turn on only after someone sits on the bench.
“We are planning to soon distribute similar technologies on platforms throughout the entire railway network,” said Russian Railways.
Previously Russian Railways spoke about plans to create unmanned trains.
