A man opened fire this Monday evening in Brussels, near Place Sainctelette. According to the Belgian press, there were two victims and others injured. The suspect fled, according to the Brussels prosecutor’s office, questioned by the RTBF.
According to a video posted on the website of the Flemish newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, the shooter in an orange fluorescent jacket was riding a scooter. He fled after using an automatic rifle. A spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office said an investigation had been opened. The motive for the attack is not yet known.
