An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred in Dagestan. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the head of the press service of the main directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Republic, Tamila Gazimagomedova.
According to her, the Dagestan Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences recorded an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 near the village of Akhty. According to the information received, no tremors were felt on the surface, there were no casualties or damage.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian government is preparing to send humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan, where several strong earthquakes occurred in early October.
