Heavy rain is forecast and an orange weather warning will be issued for the areas of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto and Vila Real on Tuesday and Wednesday.IPMA.
The orange warning for these four counties will be in effect from 3:00 pm Tuesday until 12:00 pm Wednesday.
The areas of Viana do Castelo, Braga and Vila Real are already on a yellow alert until 18:00 due to rain today, and it will turn orange on Tuesday.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) also issued an orange alert for the entire Portuguese coast due to heavy seas.
The forecast of bad weather for the coming days has prompted the National Office of Emergency Situations and Civil Protection(ANEPK) issue a warning to the population on Sunday, warning of the possibility of urban flooding, floods and landslides.
