The mystery of the 300-meter blood trail in the center
State police are investigating traces of blood found on October 17 last year in Trieste. Camera images were obtained from Trieste Trasporti route 29, on which additional spots were found.
A long trail of blood stains in the center of Trieste, from Largo Barrier to stop 29 of the Trieste Trasporti line in Piazza Goldoni. State police are investigating to determine the cause of the episode, which likely occurred between Oct. 16 and 17. The Julian Police Station requested and received camera images from the bus on which blood was found on board. According to some statements collected TriestePrima in the area of Piazza Goldoni “at about 21:00 on October 16 these places were not there, but at 6 in the morning the next day they were already there.”
The tracks were seen by many residents of Trieste. It is currently unknown whether the stains were the result of suspected violent acts or a dispute between multiple subjects. What is known is that some of the paths were very large (as, for example, in Piazza Goldoni, at the bus stop). Blood on board the Trieste Trasporti was discovered during a car wash. The investigation is ongoing.
