A new landing on the night from Thursday to Friday on the island of Lampedusa, where 347 migrants arrived. There are also two women among them. They come from Bangladesh, Egypt, Pakistan, Syria. The ship was escorted to the port by patrol boats.
They were all on an old fishing boat 25 meters long. Two patrol boats from the port administration and one from the financial police rescued the “sea ship” that was supposed to sail from Zuara in Libya. All migrants reported that they paid between 4 and 8 thousand euros for the crossing.
Landings on the largest of the Pelagie Islands appear to be back in full swing following the arrival of more than 200 migrants in various boats yesterday and the day before yesterday. Various groups were taken to the hot spot in the Imbriacola area and then transferred to Porto Empedocle.
