Tests carried out on October 7 last year established that Gabriele Maffeo, a 33-year-old man from Occhieppo Inferiore (Biella) found dead in a trash bin on Via Coppa in Biella, was not murdered, but died of a drug overdose. This immediately alleviated the situation of four of his friends (three men, 42, 32 and 24 years old, and a 34-year-old woman), who were arrested by the police and charged only with concealing a corpse. These four (or rather, according to the testimony and evidence also obtained from the arrested boys themselves, three of them) were to witness the death and then organize, with the addition of one of them arriving later, the removal of the dumpster and the dumpster to avoid worse problems .
However, during the operation they were spotted by several witnesses who saw them transporting the body in a wheelbarrow. They are defended by lawyers Marco Romanello and Christian Konz. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, October 10, the funeral of Maffeo took place, whose remains rest in the cemetery of the city in the province of Biella. At the time of his discovery, on the evening of Saturday, September 30, he had been dead for three days. The body was discovered by a resident of the area: when she went to throw garbage bags in the trash bin under her house, she made a terrible discovery. Maffeo was wrapped in plastic wrap and had a nylon stocking on his head.
Therefore, signs of swelling on the face should not be attributed to the beating he suffered. This man had problems with drugs in the past and had apparently rehabilitated himself into society. He left behind a two-year-old child.
