…another delicious lunch with the Royal British Legion
There Royal British Legion organizes dinners regularly throughout the year: some are themed, such as the coronation of a king, others are simply an old-fashioned get-together, as was the case with the latest event held this week.
Just over 30 people attended the popular restaurant O Antonio – Moncarapacho, and it’s safe to say that everyone had a good time.
It was nice to see new faces, some related to the service and some not.
These events are social events where the Royal British Legion hold a prize draw to raise money for their Poppy Appeal, but above all they are a fun chance to meet new people and often an opportunity to try a new restaurant.
“Antonio’s is a regular venue for RBL,” said Mary McClay, event organiser. “They looked after us and the food was excellent. I’m delighted to say that €225 was raised for the Poppy Appeal.” he continued.
We are now looking forward to our next event – the Halloween Party, which will take place on Saturday, October 28th at 1:00 p.m. Johnny Hooper’s Saxophone Bistro, in Albufeira. Everyone is welcome, so book now through Steve: [email protected] – it’s going to be great!
