The Ottawa Senators defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning in a National Hockey League (NHL) regular season game.

The game, played at the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa, ended with the hosts winning with a score of 5-2. The first goal in this game for the Senators was scored by Russian striker Vladimir Tarasenko, who signed a season-long contract with the team in the summer of 2023. The ice hockey player scored the first goal of the game in the eighth minute of the first period. His assistants were Ridley Greig and Jacob Chickran. Also in that game, Tarasenko provided an assist for Matthew Joseph, who scored Ottawa’s third goal.

As part of the winning team, Russian defender Artem Zub also stood out, taking part in Brady Tkachuk’s goal attack. Tampa players Nikita Kucherov and Mikhail Sergachev took part in the game but failed to produce outstanding performances. Russian Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevsky was not involved in the game.
