The mysterious disappearance of Roback, a Milan striker on loan from Norrkoping Tidningar.

The disappearance of Emil Roebuck, Milan’s young striker on loan to Swedish club Norrköping Tidningar, may have masked many (perhaps too many) disappointments accumulated during his turbulent start to his career. Disappointments that may have caused him to hang up his boots at just twenty years of age. It’s always difficult for emerging talent to settle into new teams, with different teammates and coaches. For this reason, children are often monitored by companies to ensure that they adapt as quickly as possible. Emil is perhaps a living example of these enormous difficulties.

According to the sports director of the same team, Tony Martinsson, the twenty-year-old player has been missing for about two weeks: “I want to know that everything is okay with him,” the manager explains, “. It’s alarming that we can’t contact him, but I don’t know what else we can do. “I want him to come here. We can find a plan that suits everyone. “I’m not giving up hope that he will return, but it’s hard to hope when we haven’t seen him for 14 days.”

In August, the striker said in an interview that his loan spell was not going as he had hoped: “It didn’t go as expected,” he said, “I say it myself. I will take this experience as it comes. It also depends on the coach, but I always try to give my best.”

Emil Robakm, born in 2003, was born in Norrköping, Sweden. The young striker began his career in the youth ranks of his hometown team before moving to IK Sleipner and then Vasterhaning IF. In 2020, he signed a promotional contract as a professional with Hammarby, but was immediately loaned out to third division affiliate IK Frey.

It looks like a turning point year: in August, on the advice of Zlatan Ibrahimovic (co-owner of Hammarby), the striker moves to Milan, which pays him about one and a half million euros. Despite having very little place in the starting lineup, he made his debut in January 2022 in a 3-1 Coppa Italia win over Genoa, playing in the final minutes of the match.

However, the young talent’s career did not take off: the Rossoneri loaned him to his first club, where he collected benches and stands. The story of Robakm is a story that in another time would have found a place in the “Parastate phenomena” section of the “Mai dire Gol” program. Obviously, the hope is that the boy will overcome this moment and find his way on or off the field.
