Radulov’s brace helped Ak Bars win Avangard in overtime
The match of the Fonbet Championship of the Continental Hockey League of the 2023/2024 season, which hosted the local Ak Bars Avangard, ended in Kazan. The match ended in extra time with the hosts winning with a score of 5:4.
The guests opened the scoring in the middle of the first twenty minutes. Omsk striker Vladimir Tkachev brought Igor Martynov out of his zone one on one with Kazan goalkeeper Artur Akhtyamov with a clever pass, after which the striker beat the goalkeeper.
At the start of the second period, Daniil Zhuravlev restored the score with assists from Dmitry Yudin and Ilya Safonov. Less than a minute later, Reid Boucher gave the visitors the lead again with passes from Bogdan Kiselevich and Vladimir Tkachev. In the 16th minute of the quarter Alexander Radulov With assists from Vadim Shipachev and Dmitry Yudin, he equalized the score at 2-2, ending his eleven-game goalless streak. At the end of the quarter, Vladimir Tkachev gave the Omsk team the lead for the third time.
