Makhachev outlined the requirements for his next opponent

Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Islam Makhachev in an interview Youtube– The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) channel explained the requirements for the next opponent.

“I want to fight against a real competitor! I need someone whose fight the whole world wants to see,” said the athlete.

He emphasized that he would not fight for money and expressed his desire to get a challenger who deserves to fight him.

On October 21, Makhachev defended his UFC lightweight title for the second time at a tournament in Abu Dhabi. The Russian athlete beat Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round.

The 31-year-old Russian fought a total of 26 fights in his career, in which he won 25 times and lost only once. The 35-year-old Volkanovski has 26 wins and 3 losses.
