Lokomotiv striker Averin was seriously injured and may not play again this season

As the championship learned, Lokomotiv striker Yegor Averin was seriously injured.

The striker was placed on the long-term injured list. Averin has a lower body injury. The Lokomotiv striker underwent surgery abroad. Now the ice hockey player will miss the rest of the current KHL season.

Note that Averin was injured before the game against Spartak in Moscow, which took place on October 2.

The striker turned 34 in August. This season, Averin took part in 10 Continental Hockey League regular season matches in which he scored only one goal. The last time the track forward went on the ice was on September 27 in the Fonbet KHL championship game against Avtomobilist (3:1).
