Khabib called Makhachev the best fighter in the world after defeating Volkanovski

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov commented on Islam Makhachev’s victory over Alexander Volkanovski at the UFC 294 tournament on social networks.

The Russian defeated his opponent by knockout in the first round and defended his title for the second time. The previous meeting between them also ended in a victory for Makhachev. The Russian was originally supposed to fight with Oliveira at the tournament in Abu Dhabi, but he was injured in training and was unable to perform. In the evening’s co-main event, Swedish-Chechen fighter Khamzat Chimaev defeated Nigeria’s Kamaru Usman by decision.
