Inter Miami explained why Messi does not enter the field

Inter Miami head coach Gerardo Martino said that the club’s striker Lionel Messi has not yet fully recovered from his injury, reports Goal.

“I think he’s getting closer to playing again. As I said, we will assess his condition on Thursday and Friday. “He’s starting to get into better shape,” Martino said.

The Argentine missed Inter Miami’s last few games due to injury.

Messi moved to Inter Miami in the summer of 2023 after playing for French club Paris Saint-Germain for two years. He made his debut for the club, scoring a free kick in the first game. His winning streak ended after nine games.

After 12 games for Inter Miami, Messi has 11 goals scored and five assists. On August 20, the Argentine won his first trophy in America. Inter Miami won the League Cup by defeating Nashville on penalties (10-9) in the final game of the tournament.

In the next game, Inter Miami plays against Cincinnati.
