Telegram and Google may be fined for failure to delete information prohibited in the Russian Federation

The Tagansky Court of Moscow will consider new protocols against Google, Telegram, as well as the American IT company Akamai Technologies for refusing to delete information prohibited in the Russian Federation. The press service of the court reported this to TASS.

“The review of administrative materials in relation to the companies Akamai Technologies and Telegram Messenger Inc. is scheduled for November 21, in relation to Google LLC – for November 14,” said press secretary Zulfiya Gurynchuk.

Telegram, Google and Akamai Technologies are charged with Art. 13.41 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure to take measures to remove information prohibited in the Russian Federation). Companies face a fine of up to 4 million rubles.
