In Samara, the cancellation of Kortnev’s concert was linked to his position on the Northern Military District
Performances by artists who spoke “negatively” about the special operation or the Russian armed forces are unacceptable, the press service of the Samara Ministry of Culture said. About it writes RBC.
Earlier, Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Project on Security and Anti-Corruption, said that he intended to appeal to the authorities of the Samara region with a request to cancel Kortnev’s concert.
The press service noted that they had not received any requests from the public figure. The ministry clarified that there will be no Kortnev concerts in the city due to his position on the special operation.
“On behalf of Governor Dmitry Azarov, the Ministry of Culture, since February last year, has been carrying out systematic work to analyze cultural events taking place in the region, regardless of the ownership of cultural institutions,” the press service clarified.
Let us remind you that the artist’s performance was supposed to take place in the creative space of Kowalski Club on November 29.
Earlier, Kortnev reported that the group’s anniversary big concert, scheduled for November at Crocus City Hall, was canceled 1.5 years ago.
