Actor from “Streets of Broken Lanterns” Evgeny Artemyev has died

Evgeny Artemyev, theater and film actor, died at the age of 69. About it writes Press service of the Theater. V.F. Komissarzhevskaya, where he served for many years.

Evgeny Artemyev was born on May 14, 1955. Graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (course of the chief director of the V.F. Komissarzhevskaya Theater Ruben Agamirzyan) in 1981.

The actor played leading and episodic roles in many performances, including “The Importance of Being Serious” (directed by A. Belinsky) and “The Ballad of a Soldier” (directed by G. Oporkov).

Subsequently, Artemyev worked for several years in the children’s drama Theater on the Neva. In 2004 he returned to the theater. V.F. Komissarzhevskaya, but already as the head of the troupe (until 2015).

The actor participated in a large number of film projects. His credits include the films “For No Apparent Reason”, “It Was Behind the Narva Gate”, “Torpedo Bombers”, the series “Mongoose”, “Secrets of the Investigation”, “Streets of Broken Lanterns”, “Chronicles of the Homicide Department”, “Friends and Foes”.
