2.5 million copies in 24 hours: “Spider-Man 2” sets a new sales record for PlayStation

Sony shared the first statistics of “Spider-Man 2”, which was released exclusively on October 20 PlayStation 5. The new game from the studio Insomniac Games set a record for the Japanese company’s internal studios: more than 2.5 million copies were sold in the first 24 hours. Apparently, this includes both physical and digital copies of the project.

The current PlayStation record belongs to God of War Ragnarok – the project sold 5.1 million copies in a week. We will find out before the end of October whether Spider-Man 2 will be able to beat this result.

Spider-Man 2 tells the story of two main characters: Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Together they must protect New York from the impending danger of Kraven the Hunter and the mysterious Venom symbiote. The game is available entirely in Russian.
